How to plan a month of social media posts in one afternoon
By the Elvz team ·
Most brands post in bursts: three posts one week, nothing the next. The fix is not more willpower, it is a plan made in one sitting. Here is a method that takes an afternoon and covers a full month.
1. Pick three to four content pillars
Pillars are the themes you post about again and again. For a skincare brand they might be ingredients, routines, customer results and behind the scenes. Pillars stop you starting from a blank page every day.
2. Mark the dates that matter
Put launches, sales, holidays and events on the calendar first. Everything else fits around them. A launch usually needs a teaser week, the launch day and a follow-up week.
3. Decide your rhythm per channel
- Instagram: three to five posts a week, with at least two reels
- LinkedIn: two to three thoughtful posts a week
- TikTok: as often as you can make good short videos
- Google Business Profile: one update a week
4. Fill the grid, then batch the work
Assign a pillar and a format to every slot, then write all captions in one session and make all images in another. Batching is far faster than switching tasks every day.
5. Review results weekly and adjust
Each week, look at what got the most saves, shares and comments, and move more of the month toward that. A plan is a starting point, not a contract.
